El Hicaco Restaurant, Jaco Costa Rica
This is probably one of the better Costa Rica seafood restaurant in Jaco Beach. The food is delicious and the setting is simply wonderful: right on the edge of Jaco beach, with the majority of the tables outdoors under the stars, tall palm trees, and mood lighting.
El Hicaco is best know for their Wednesday All You Can Eat Lobster Feast including cocktails, wine and beer with Live Calypso Music.
The freshly caught grilled seafood or spiny lobster is cooked on a flaming fire throughout the evening. There are plenty of meat and chicken selections on the menu as well. The salad bar includes fresh seafood ceviche, calamari and veggie salad, macaroni, heart of palm, nacho and bean dips with fried plantains strips and more. Sides include pasta prepared with different toppings, mixed veggies, bean and rice dishes and roasted potatoes. The seafood medley includes a mixture of fresh shrimp, clams and seafood. Our favorite dish, other than the lobster, was the huge garlic shrimp. End the evening with a variety of fresh pastries, cakes, custards, tortes or a flaming banana soufflé with all the toppings.
