Jaco Theater Holding Auditions for Upcoming Costa Rica Event

Teatro Jaco is inviting you to participate in the auditions!!!

TEATRO JACO WILL BE HOLDING AUDITIONS AT THE OCEANS CENTER!!!

With the new Oceans Center almost completed, Pat Hundley  from DayStar Properties and Darren Lee Cole, co-owner of the SoHo Playhouse in New York City and founder of Teatro Jaco have announced plans to bring "A Christmas Carol" to Jaco December 20th-30th.

For this reason Teatro Jaco is inviting you to participate in the auditions!!! Children up to 16 years old should prepare part of a song not longer than 1 minutes to sing (it does not have to be Christmas themed) or a very short monologue to perform. There will be no musical accompaniment provided. Adults should also prepare a short excerpt from a song not longer than 1 minute (singers) or a 1 minute monologue (actors).

Musicians should prepare a 2 min. keyboard percussion solo with two and four mallets. There will be very few percussion instruments available so musicians are encouraged to bring their own. All auditioners are encouraged to let them know of any previous experience.

Here is the audition schedule for "A Christmas Carol":

-          Thursday Oct. 27th, 2PM - 8PM  Children/Teens(6yrs to 18yrs) Singers. 8PM -10PM Musicians

-          Friday Oct. 28th, 10AM - 2PM Adult Singers, 2PM - 6PM Children/Teens (6yrs to 18yrs)Singers & Actor y de 6PM - 10PM Adult Singers & Actors

-          Saturday Oct. 29th, 8AM - Noon Children/Teens/Adults Singers & Actors 2PM - 9PM Call Backs

TEATRO JACO ESTARÁ LLEVANDO A CABO AUDICIONES EN EL OCEANS CENTER! Con el nuevo Oceans Center casi listo, Pat Hundley de Daystar Properties y Darren Cole, co-propietario de SoHo Playhouse en New York y fundador de Teatro Jaco, han anunciado sus planes de traer a Jaco “Cuentos de Navidad” del 20 al 30 de diciembre. Por esta razón Teatro Jaco les invita a participar en las audiciones. Niños mayores de 16 años deben preparar una parte de una canción no mayor a 1 min (no necesariamente navideña) o un monólogo corto. No se proveerá ningún acompañamiento musical. Los adultos deberán también preparar un ligero extracto de una canción no mayor a 1 min o 1 min de monólogo. Los músicos deben preparar una presentación de 2 minutos. Habrán muy pocos instrumentos de percusión disponibles por ellos todos los músicos están invitados a traer sus propios instrumentos. A todos los participantes se les insta a compartir si tienen experiencia en el tema.

A continuación los horarios de las audiciones para el “Christmas Carol”:

-          Jueves 27 de octubre de 2pm – 8pm Niños y jóvenes (6 – 18 años) cantantes y de 8pm – 10pm  músicos.

-          Viernes 28 de octubre de 10am – 2pm cantantes adultos, 2pm – 6pm niños y jóvenes (6 – 18 años) cantantes y actores, y de 6pm – 10pm adultos cantantes y actores.

-          Sábado 29 de octubre de 8am al medio día, niños,  jóvenes y adultos cantantes y actores.
