Costa Rica Exhibit Unveils History of National Theater

Costa Rica's most famous architectural jewels, the National Theater, at the upcoming exposition “The Dome Over Time.”

 Take a closer look at the history of one of Costa Rica's most famous architectural jewels, the National Theater, at the upcoming exposition “The Dome Over Time.” 
 
 The Costa Rica exhibit takes place in the Enrique Echandi Art Gallery, inside the theater. It consists of 80 photographs showing visitors the evolution of the building, as well as the information about its restoration.
 
 “By including technical, historical, and administrative facts, visitors can have an idea of the cultural implications these restoration works mean," said Adriana Collado, the National Theater’s director.
 
 The photographs intend to provide an intellectual, yet entertaining approach to the history of Costa Rica's theater.
 
 “People will see what the landscape looked like when the Cultural Square was not even built, and instead cornfields were the common sight,” said William Monge, conservation coordinator for the National Theater.
 
 The Costa Rica exhibit will open this coming Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
