Jaco Canopy Zipline Tour is an extreme Costa Rica adventure, that gets the adrenaline pumping and is a way to enjoy nature. This Costa Rica adventure of a lifetime features spectacular views of the Herradura bay and Island, as well as the Nicoya Gulf. You'll have the opportunity to view the Scarlet Macaws, Chest nut mandible Toucans and white-face monkeys. Your Costa Rica adventure starts on a 15 minute ride aboard our specially designed 40 passenger tractor. Once we arrive to the top of the mountain we then descend to the bottom via a series of zip lines. Our zip lines include 15 platforms and 14 cables with a total cable distance of 3.5 kilometer including the longest cable in the area of 2400 ft!!!! 

 Rainforest Explorer
Join us on a wonderful nature walk for all ages; explore along with our tour guides the ancestral uses of medicinal plants, how vines grow, which tree barks are poisonous and how to survive by eating local plants. Walk thru our plantation and get a taste of organic grown papayas, bananas and many other Costa Rica fruit. This Costa Rica tour is offered in our transitional forest, a mixture between the dry forest in the north pacific and the rainforest in the south pacific. You can experience some of the richest biodiversity of flora and fauna in Costa Rica. You can commonly spot wildlife such as toucans, white faced monkeys and scarlet macaws. $15 pp.   

 Location
We are located on Costa Rica's Central Pacific Coast. 1 hour and 45 minutes from Costa Rica's Capital San Jose and 5 minutes from Los Sueños Resort and Marina. From the 4-way intersection in Herradura, we are 1.7 Kilometers east to the canopy main entrance.

 Tour Times
Our Costa Rica Canopy tour operates daily from 7am to 5 pm. We run 4 tours a day at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Duration of the tour: 1.5 - 2 hours, depending on the group size.

 Safety Standards
The most important part of safety is the communication between guide and customer.  For this reason, our guides are 100% bilingual and have full credentials from the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT), which certifies them as Canopy Tour Guides.

Vista Los Suenos Canopy is the first company in Costa Rica to implement an emergency brake system on all fast cables. This system allows the guide to have control at all times, taking command of the cable as the client nears the platform. So whether you’re coming in really fast or spinning uncontrollably, we can always stop you!  This system is particularly good when it’s raining.

Our equipment is 100% certified for adventure tours, and we use some of the best brands in the business, such as: Petzl, Black Diamond, Blue Water and Sterling! We vigorously follow the manufacturer directions and care for the equipment on a day-to-day basis, as well as maintain daily tabs to control the use of the equipment. The main cables are ½ “, which exceed the Costa Rica standard of 3/8”. Our platforms are an average of 7x7 feet in diameter and can handle more than 15 people at once.   

Our guides receive a minimum of 3 months training before they can work alone with clients. This training consists of safety and operations of the Canopy, first aid and customer service. Our training program is in addition to Costa Rica's official government courses designed for Canopy Tours.  

Every client gets a full explanation of what to do before starting on the first cable. From beginning to end, you will be attached from your personal harness to a cable at all times. The tour will not begin if the guides think there is danger, such as wind, rain or lightning. They have the authority to cancel the tour at any time if they deem necessary. Clients with medical conditions or those who are in excess of 260 pounds will not be allowed on this Costa Rica tour.
